Traditional Equine Dentistry

A four year old thoroughbred receives a hand float using hand tools and horsemanship. No sedation or restraint was necessary and it’s obvious the gelding is a willing participant. This approach to floating teeth offers great rewards for the horse with very little risk. If this youngster were floated consistantly he may never have mouth issues again. This video is intended to highlight the important aspects of a traditional hand float, but should not be considered an instructional video, in other words. Don’t try this at home.
